Welcome to the website of the Kisakye Children’s Trust

We are a non-faith-based charity set up in 2005 in the United Kingdom to help in the relief of poverty, suffering and disease in Africa. Our first major project is the development of a paediatric hospital and treatment centre in Mbale, eastern Uganda for children affected by HIV/AIDS.

We hope you find the site informative and helpful. It aims to explain about our work and how you can help. We intend to update the site regularly to enable our donors and those interested in our activities to be appraised of developments.

'...I have been to Soroti and know the area. I have seen families of orphans where the only adult surviving is the grandmother and where the children sleep in a huddle, like kittens on the ground. What we have to remember is that all these children are exactly like our own. They dream, they suffer, they have the same needs and desires. Their situation is dire and we must all help as much as we can. Kisakye Children's Trust is a beacon of hope for so many. It is also a very real, practical vision which I will be supporting with all my heart'.
